Ain’t this what we asked for
Can’t push backwards,
I’m a lantern of good things.
I’m a blackbird, I’ve got answers,
We can soar into the age.
I’d attract her chain reaction,
We can grow at our own pace.
Write the chapter with some laughter,
Then we write our own next page.

I’ve got everything, I’ma ever need,
I got melody, I’m a symphony.
I’ve been coast to coast,
Trying to learn my ropes,
I’ve been so in love,
With who I’ve become.

But ain’t this what we asked for,
Can’t push backwards,

I’m a blackbird, I’ve got answers,
We can soar into the age.

Right disasters left with hazards,
We can bloom, it’s not too late.
